Scope
Research in optics of LC is a high
priority in technologically advanced countries due to their many uses
in optical and electro-optical technologies. If LC materials are not
yet perceived as the Silicon of Photonics, then they ignite thoughts
about that. And the upcoming OLC 2005, still the only international
conference focused on all aspects of optics of LC, will undoubtedly
further stir up those flares, bridging the optical science and technology.
Like its predecessors, OLC 2005 is aimed to providing an international
forum for exchange of scientific ideas and technological advances in
optics and related aspects of LCs and LC based novel materials through
the participation of leading scientists, researchers and engineers from
all over the world. The conference program has been designed to emphasize
the hot topics in this wide area of research that underlies numerous
important applications.
